Frequently Asked Questions

  • Fine Jewelry is meant to be worn and enjoyed, but maintaining its sparkle does require some care. We recommend removing fine jewelry – especially rings before activities like exercising, moving heavy objects, cleaning, gardening, and swimming.
  • For basic cleaning of most fine jewelry, soak for a few minutes in warm water and gentle dish soap, then scrub with a soft toothbrush. Focus on places where dirt can accumulate, such as underneath stone settings and in between prongs. Rinse well and pat dry with a soft cloth. We do not recommend this method for soft stones like opal, turquoise, tanzanite, and pearls as this can discolor the piece and damage the stone.
  • For metal polishing, you can use a polishing cloth to lightly buff metals back to a shine.
  • All jewelry should be stored in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original box. A jewelry box is great too.
  • Fine jewelry should be inspected and professionally cleaned every six months to ensure all settings and stones are intact.
